Overdoing It For The Holidays Your Not Alone

Now is the time of year when all the diet watching and calorie counting goes out the window for most of us. We all enjoy a little bit extra when it comes to the desserts or drinks and the big family dinners. We all do it and with good reason it’s a time to celebrate family friends and to reflect back on the past years events and just kick back a little bit. That’s all it is though, inevitably people get done with their parties and gatherings and they start to make themselves feel bad for overdoing it for the holidays.

I say let that guilt go because it’s not doing anything for you but bringing you down and why? You just cut loose a little bit and enjoyed yourself, did you over do it? Sure you may have and we all have at some point or another in our lives. That’s ok! Don’t beat yourself up over it. Life is going to keep moving on and you will have more opportunities in life where you won’t over do it and you will stay in control.

dog on treadmillRelax when it comes to your diet and fitness around the holidays there will be plenty of time for you to get back on that treadmill in the new year. Which is another tradition we all do at this time of year. Again this is great too committing yourself to getting fit in the new year. My only suggestion to you is to relax and just do it, don’t stress over it or put all this pressure on yourself to have to do it. Because stressing over it is actually counter productive to why you want to get healthy and fit in the first place.

So enjoy the holidays relax those guilty stressed out feelings your having about not sticking to your diet and just kick back  and enjoy the holidays.
