Are you a gym rat? Do you enjoy getting some form of exercise into your daily routine? I totally understand how so many people have a problem with daily forms of exercise and view it as a task or chore. That of course is most of the battle when it comes to getting in some form of exercise into your daily routines. Your perspective is everything and if you think of exercise as anything other than fun then chances are you don’t do very much of it. Most people that don’t exercise view exercise as a form of torture, chore or job that has to be done in order to get healthier.
What a crock of crap people. Some how along the way in your life you were programmed to think that exercise had to be this no fun task that had to be difficult or tedious in order to get any result. When in fact exercise is simply an organized way of playing that some how has lost the key ingredient for a lot of people and that’s the fun! Even the most basic forms of exercise hold a certain level of fun to them if you would just learn to let go and enjoy the moment your in. For example walking is a simple activity that if you learn to give your mind permission to let go of the daily stresses for a few minutes you will find can be a great stress reliever.
Try going for a walk and simply focus on your breathing. Just breathing? Yes if you give your brain a break once in a while and let your body take over with some physical “play time” you will be surprised what creative juices this will actually inspire in you. You might even dare I say it, learn to see the fun in walking. Our bodies are the way they are because they were meant to move freely without having to think about other stuff. Life has simply invaded our every thought and emotion and we some how lost the idea that playing or exercise as they call it when we get older gets knocked down our personal ladders of important things to do our lives. I propose that you reevaluate your perspective on exercise put back some of the playtime for your body and give your mind a break from the daily grind. Learn to see the fun in moving your body, it’s an ability that we were all born with and are meant to use. Just get out and move your body and have some fun!
