60 Days Into The P90x Routine Only 30 To Go!

Hello once again web folk the last time I posted for the health and fitness blog I was just starting my P90x day adventure back into the X land. Let me start off with a quick review, I originally purchased that program when it first came out almost ten years ago and at the time it kicked my butt and also got me in the best shape of my life. Fast forward a few years of marriage, moving to a different state, getting new jobs and having a couple of kids and as you can guess life creeped into my plans to stay fit.

So here we are a good 6 or 7 years removed from the last time I did a P90x routine. The program still got some use in that time as it was loaned out to quite a few friends and family over the years. Approximately 15 pounds snuck up on me in those years and I finally made the commitment to do the program again. Over the years I still managed to stay pretty fit hitting the pool and the local gym but that was always done rather randomly. Which is why I love the P90x so much because there is nothing random about how all those workouts are done and scheduled over the 90 days.

Like I mentioned in the title I am now past my 60th day on the P90x program and I am happy to report that I am officially six pounds down and even better than the weight that I have lost are the inches that I am loosing around my waist and gaining around my muscles. Can you say yeah! To quote the great Hannibal Smith of the A-Team I just love it when a plan comes together and the P90x is a great plan to follow if you want to get in the best shape of your life. I know I sound like a promotional billboard add or one of those people you see on the infomercials praising the genius of the program.

It is hard not to when you are physically seeing the proof  happening to you as you do it all. Don’t get me wrong it’s there is nothing easy about doing the P90x and to be honest with you I think keeping my eating habits on the healthy trail has been harder than getting up at 4:30 in the morning to do the workouts. The motivation to exercise was never my weakness and making the time to do it was always an easy priority for me to follow through on. Cutting back the portions of food that I eat, well now that has always been a challenge because I love to eat! So keeping my eating habits clean over the last 60 days has been a challenge and I have had my days in there where I would go back for seconds or thirds when I should have stopped at the first serving.

I am learning that if I slow down when I am eating and drink more water while I am eating that I able to cut back and still enjoy my meals. Anyway I am looking forward to the last 30 days and finishing the P90x strong. Besides that I have to make sure I am not only ready for the summer time but also get ready for the all new P90x:MC2 which is due to come out this fall. I might try out some of the one on one workouts with Tony or just wait for the all new P90x in the fall either way I think that at the ripe old age of 41 I may have finally figured out my fitness goals. What has been your experience with the program have you continued to do it after the 90 days or did you keep going with it or did you drop off only to come back to it a few years later like I have? Have your say in the comments section down below.

Kudos to you peruser ;-)
